How to Contact Us The Center for Anti-Slavery Studies is located in historic Montrose, PA. Download our Brochure Driving to the Center Visitors are welcome at the Center by appointment. To find us, follow these directions and enjoy your drive through the scenic and historic Endless Mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania. From Interstate 81 • Take Interstate 81 to Exit 223. • At the end of the off-ramp, follow signs for Route 11. • Drive about 1/3 mile to the intersection with Route 11 and turn left. • Follow Route 11 south for approximately 1 mile and turn right onto Rt. 706 West toward Montrose. • Taking Rt. 706 West will take you directly into town • As you are driving into the downtown, watch for the small hospital/medical arts building on your right • Shortly after that, the road will take a very sharp right hand corner • The Center for Anti-Slavery Studies will be on your right as you go around that corner, a large white house with tall, white columns • 75 Church Street From the south on Scenic Route 6 or Route 29 • Take Route 6 to Tunkhannock. • Turn onto Route 29 North. • Continue north on Rt. 29 for approximately 20 miles, until you come to a stop light at Church Street in the heart of Montrose. • Turn right onto Church Street. • The Center for Anti-Slavery Studies will be a short distance ahead on your left, a large white house with tall, white columns, just before you go around a sharp left hand corner. 75 Church Street (just after Community Bank). From the west on Scenic Route 6 • Take Route 6 to Wyalusing. • Turn onto Route 706 toward Montrose. • Drive for approximately 27 miles until you come to a stop light in the heart of Montrose. • Continue straight through the light. •The Center for Anti-Slavery Studies will be a short distance ahead on your left, a large white house with tall, white columns, just before you go around a sharp left hand corner. • 75 Church Street (just after Community Bank). |
